If you are looking for Wifi for for your Arduino Project,

If you are looking for Wifi for for your Arduino Project, look no further! For less than $9 you can add wifi capability to your Arduino Project, without loading down your Arduino with a bunch of network access code. http://arduinotronics.blogspot.com/2017/03/arduino-esp8266-wifi-on-cheap.html

And then, try away Arduino :wink:

How am I a nutjob? I’m a electronics tech that likes to share knowledge. Ban yourself.

It’s on topic, and I posted one time to each of the communities I belong to. I did not spam. You need a course in what qualifies as spam. If it’s relevant, and not advertising (I wasn’t selling anything, I was explaining how to configure a ESP8266), It’s not spam. Yes it was posted to many groups. Groups I participate in, and are completely on topic for this tutorial.

Yes, use an ESP8266, then just throw away the Arduino part, its slow, expensive, and limited in comparison. Unless you need lots and lots of IO, in which case you could use the arduino as an IO extender

I am using the arduino as a cheap i/o extender. The nano’s I use are $4 or less.

@Steve_Spence ESP8266 “nodemcu” (as in photo) in China cost 2,5$… and whit Arduino firmware, it’s and Arduino, with wifi built in

@Mauro_zoia but only one analog input, and 3.3v logic. Many of my projects require more I/O, at 5v, so I use the Nano as a port expander.
