If you had the choice, Brainwave or Azteeg X1?

So I’ve got an X1, and if it weren’t for the shipping delays I would tell you to get one wholeheartedly. I’ve seen the Brainwave and been impressed, but if a stepper driver burns out you’re kinda in a pickle. That’s just my two cents though.
The non-replaceable drivers doesn’t bother me really.I’ve never had a problem with the Printrboard - as long as you dial down the current to begin with and never disconnect a motor when powered you’re fine. If Roy had stock I would go with the X1 out of convenience but I do like the simplicity of the Brainwave and not having to rely on the FTDI 232 for USB is really nice.
Just out of curiosity, why are the X1’s taking so long to ship and always out of stock?
Thats what I want to know! Roy needs to hire some help!
Have either of you used the Brainwave board? It looks like an interesting alternative for a low cost reprap controller.
Not familiar with that but I haven’t seen anything lower cost than this: http://www.geeetech.com/new-version-reprap-printerboard-reprap-electronics-sets-p-653.html
Yeah that $30 Printrboard is scary. I like the Brainwave a lot but Ive been waffling on buying it or not.
Is the X1 still taking a long time to ship?
