If you’re interested in doing APM telemetry through OpenLRSng and connect to an Frsky Taranis, this page has the most details I’ve found so far, but isn’t being indexed (and just moved to another server), so I’m posting it here to help indexing and others find it: http://rcworld.tk/ points to http://flyingforfun.weebly.com/open-lrs.html
@Master_Decker_Expose should be doable since they show how to send the data over serial bluetooth and you could write a google glass app to receive that serial data and display it.
@Master_Decker_Expose I have Google Glass too. Because I use FPV goggles, it’s not very helpful for me, but I can totally see how Glass would be great if you fly visually and you’d like to get telemetry with a very quick glance.
Please ping me if you ever get it working.
I got the exact same combo (9XR + 433mhz Orange OpenLRS 1W + receiver) and I get no more than 50-100 meters before I lose range. I tried with stock antennas, aftermarket ones and the result is the same. Please drop me a line if you know what could be causing this.
@FPV_Wings
The problem is that many orange modules are utter shit and have no quality control.
There is a reason why they are so dirt cheap. I have no plans on every buying any of them, and use quality modules from DTF-UHF and Brotronix instead.
That’s also why I’m a bit upset that there are so many great hacks based around those lousy modules instead of the better ones.
