I’ll be interested to see what the printrbot folks came up with. Hope I won’t have to undo my fixes to implement theirs.

My heated bed upgrade kit for the metal simple arrived yesterday. The kit now includes a sheet of radiant material to cover the heat plate from the bottom, plus some delrin pieces that isolate the Al bed from the metal wings. I won’t get to try any of it until I get an ATX power supply.
They have a guide that shows you how to install the new parts, too.
