I’m advising someone on an LED project, and they say they’re using WS2818 LEDs. I’ve never heard of this variant, but it’s being sold on AliExpress so it must exist. However, I can’t find any info on what protocol these lights use, or any datasheet whatsoever. Does anyone know about the WS2818, and can it be used with FastLED?

They might be sk6818’s - which are rgbw which isn’t supported by the library yet.

Assuming they are actually WS2818, they should be compatible with the WS2813. They’re the same controller, but packaged in an SOP-8 package instead of integrated into the LED module, and the datasheet is here:
