I’m an entrepreneur and I’d like to learn about the 3d printer industry.
Who’s bought a 3d printer recently and can spare 15mins to chat on Skype?
What exacly are you looking for? Something to thinker/play with? Or something for big comercial use?
Holy crud…i have over 10
Hey @Samer_Najia @lightshadown I’d like to set up a marketplace. First I want to understand what people want/need.
I can give you plenty of input with what I have built
@Samer_Najia Thanks. When’s a good time? My Skype: mathsadrian
Wow, @Samer_Najia you should take my handle…I thought i was bad with 6
I am…after all, a serial builder
Adrian, maybe tomorrow afternoon?
though 1 of mine may never get finished, it’s a CobbleFlop. and I have not started my Polygon delta yet…
@Samer_Najia 2pm? timezone?
East Coast and sure
@Adrian_Beckett were you then thinking online, or brickNMortar?
@PrintinAddiction I have 2 Deltas, 3 i3s, upgrading a printrbot, rebuilt an SD3, have a Fab@home I am refactoring. The list goes on
I keep thinking if more people knew they could get started in the hobby for only $200-300, they would definetly jump in.
I started with a QUBD 2UP, then a Folgertech I3, then upgraded the 2UP to a 3UP with 3DPrintedLife’s kit. Then a Cobblebot Vanguard pile of …, then a Reach3D, Eclips3D, and PolyGon that is still in the box… Almost all have E3D, soon one will have the prometheus dual hotend…
Most have ramps, the 3UP uses the printrboard, and the Eclips3d uses an azteeg x5. 3 of them are controlled by Raspberry PIs running OctiPrint .
Now I want to get better at designing my own upgrade parts in CAD. This hobby still amazes me!!!
I have a FT 2020 i3 and a Reach 2. The FT needs to be upgraded using @Sonny_Lowe ’s goodies
@PrintinAddiction thats how I got this thing on this post… but I still need to work on it with other parts
i have the earlier I3 with the threaded rods, print like a champ…
Today, I just added an mk3 heated bed to the reach so much nicer when the first layer lays down nicly, but it definately needs a cooling fan for the part, I need to create a new X axis end stop trigger piece to allow for the additional space of the split fan duct…
This poor guys really needs wire management.
