I’m assembling the production Smartrapcores . As I need to recognize them easily, I’m playing with deco on the box.
I think this one will be the most easy to name ?
Is it just using the orange spool or are there more on the other sides? Sorry if that’s a stupid question, my knowledge of 3d printers is limited.
actually , only the orange spool. Soon more i hope ? we are working on 2 heads update now we have enough space for that .
It’s not stupid question at all
and…we all started one day . I can’t tell you the questions i asked in beginning
So they do have set ups with multi heads? How many is the max right now?
@Brigham_Valdez wait like files on how to build one of these?
it is true open source, for 2 years we do projects
I invite you to look for smartfriendz work … just google it ?
For the files, they are actualy at : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:651117
and github, and forum at http://reprap.org … etc etc
So this one is going to be called gateway right?
haha, i guess ? I had a "holly cow! " somewhere
How about spot?
Moo
lol. i like both.
I’m almost coding a hack in marlin to have a Moo sound at start
Nice brow
How does the enduction z-probe work if you don’t have metal bed ?
@Shachar_Weis I plan on putting metal tape - I have some copper or use duck work’s tape, under the glass - just like the smartcore in picture does
?I use aluminium foil. I’ve found some aluminium tape at the hardware store…under the glass
FWIW, I have this same sensor, aluminum foil works great, it also picks up a heated bed PCB, but it can be tricky, i have once corner that triggers 1mm lower then the rest so I use the foil for uniformity.
You can never go wrong with cows.
Early UM2 prototype:

haha. Well, this proto was far more class than this one , to be honest
we try to do a full range of quality from this very same model. From very basic and cheap wood model to custom made deco + pi + ldc + wifi + double head , etc. It was the goal from the start.
BTW, Induction sensor with glass and aluminum foil - doesn’t work.
Beg to differ that not all sensors created equal
