I'm finally working on a perment enclosure for my ANET A8 (prusa i3 clone)

I’m finally working on a perment enclosure for my ANET A8 (prusa i3 clone) and making a little bit of progress. I had some extra LED module type lighting laying around and wired them into the power supply. I think I will swap them out at a later date because they are a very cold color. Next on the list is to cut some 1/4" plexi-glass and enclose the rest of the unit. Then I will add a heat activated fan to regulate the enclosures’ temperature. I read about one a while back that was arduino powered.

Keep posting updates! I was actually thinking of starting something more permanent this weekend. Close to the process you seem to be following. I want to start with a solid base plate I can fasten the printer to, and then start building sides and such as I have time and material.

@allanGEE I had an old piece of desk laying around, so I bolted the printer to it. I noticed that it printed more consistent from part to part. But be warned that if you bolt down the center of your machine, it will make it much louder. It will vibrate the board.
And to save money, I used some other wood for the back and part of the top. 1/4" plexiglass costs $60 for a 24" x 48" sheet. It took 1.5 of them to complete my enclosure. I’ll post pics tomorrow night.
