I’m generally happy with my table saw, but the extruded aluminum fence is difficult to attach accessories to. Now that I’ve got a 3D printer I think I can do something about that by creating accessories which are closely matched to the shape of the aluminum and can hook around it. I took off the fence and sat it on a flatbed scanner to get a nondistorted image and then traced it into Fusion 360. I printed the small piece on the left as a test to see how close I got - so far so good. The next trick will be to use my model as negative space in a block and see if that fits snugly around the original fence.
