I’m having complete sense of humor failure. 2 consecutive prints on the same printer. Same filament same slicer and settings.
Yikes. Maybe a belt came loose?
Looks like you may have bent your Z screw.
@Adam_Steinmark nope checked that all fine
Isn’t that a z wobble?
@Step_Cia but how did it change from 1 print to The next.
Z rod nut slop for sure.
I’m guessing that the temperature of the environment is not consistent?
If you have any spring belt tensioners, remove them.
What about heat bed temperature oscillation?
@Jim_Stone No the issues are constant all along the z direction, not just by the bed.
It the same pitch as the z rods. So it has to be that. I’ve run a dial gauge sitting on the bed indicating on the vertical shaft and it does oscillate. What does my head in is why the previous model didn’t have the same.
Right I’ve made some changes. New Z threaded rods. - but its time to change to leadscrews. Anyway I drilled a 5mm hole in the m8 threaded rods that will fit over the shaft of the stepper motor the flexible coupler now just holds it in place the shafts are perfectly aligned to the motor.
Runout is still visiblebwith a dial indicator. 0.01mm per rotation.
