I’m having some issues with grbl, after updating my macbook operating sytem, when I open grbl and try to load a file, the cursor turns into a double arrow and it never opens the browse window… do you guys know anything about this?

Are you connected to the arduino when you try to load the file? I would try to just load the file without being connected.

You can also try using Universal G-Code Sender.

My $0.02 not having the issue myself.

G-Code Sender works well on a mac

@Michael_Omiccioli
yes, it did for me… I just updated my OS and then it stooped working

@javierymirna what app are you using? Have you tried ChiliPeppr?

@jlauer I completely spaced having him try ChiliPeppr! My ShapeOko isn’t connected to the internet so it didn’t cross my mind.

@jlauer @Marc_Schaefermeyer haha I didn’t Marc! I did tried Chillipeper, but it was intimidating!! I watched a video where John is guiding someone to install drivers to a mac to make chillippr work, but got a little scared to be honest :frowning: So i did tried John but got a little lost

You don’t need drivers for ChiliPeppr. Just download Serial Port JSON Server from lower right corner in ChiliPeppr. Then run the binary you downloaded. Go back into ChiliPeppr and connect to localhost and presto. You’re running.

@jlauer I’m gonna give it a shot right now! So this is for Mac right?

There are binaries for Mac, Linux, and Windows

@jlauer is there an online tutorial of how to use chillipepr?

There are around 40 videos on YouTube. Search ChiliPeppr intro

@jlauer will do! Thanks!
