I’m just starting out printing a set of parts and I was after a little direction. How do I identify the most recent version of each part in the Thingiverse download. There are loads of stl files in the root folder but also several zipped folders with more copies. I note that most of the files have a letter/number code after the part name. At the moment I’m using the version with the highest letter/number that I can find. Thanks, Chris

i think your on the right track then, as far as i know the highest number/letter means the newest part

The latest one as of this date is the Revision b.3 and there is an update 2013-08-04 with makes some upgrades from the b.3 revision if you wanted to upgrade those.

Thanks very much. I’m pleased to be reassured that I’m on the right lines. I’ll try and post some photos as things progress

Awesome. I have too many projects in the works. And I am moving my workspace from the garage to the shop where my 3d printer is. Got all my stuff in there now. My son and I just got done rebuilding our tricopter and we are working on airplanes and the openrc trusty. Lost of things going on. I am currently printing ATM the openrc shocks in nylon, so we will see how it works. The new nylon I have I just can’t seem to get it calibrate right. I calibrated with a hollow cube to measure the thickness like I do everything else but when I print the bottom part of the shocks the inside support and outer walls are always stuck together. So I have been tweaking my flow to get the walls and support to separate. Think I have it now. Good luck on your build
