I’m laying out the lights for rev 2 of my LED tail design, and I’ve suddenly found myself faced with a matrix. This is new and exciting territory! Before I dive in completely I have a beginner question: is it possible to run matrix code when your LEDs zigzag back and forth instead of laying out in a repeating left-to-right pattern? Like in the picture.

I don’t want to cut and resolder the lights in a standard matrix format because this rev is about simplifying and minimizing the number of solder points, in order to achieve maximum waterproof-ness.

Yes! The XYMatrix sample code has a switch for exactly this. I think the flag is called “serpentine”.
