I’m liking the Fuzzy Skin experimental feature in Cura. What do you think?
looks like it’s time to give Cura some models to chew on! That looks awesome! Any tips? What layer, temp, filament, and speed?
Layer height was 0.1mm i believe… ABS at normal temperature (230-235°C). Average speed was 80mm/s allthough the outer perimeter is automatically slower because it’s constntly changing direction.
So is that on purpose now?
yes. take a look at the experimental options - fuzzy skin in cura 2.1.2 or newer.
@Step_Cia for a scale prototype of something in bed liner material type surfacing, heck yeah! (edit: not Armorcoat, that’s different and smooth surfaced my bad) Also possibly tool handles. They should do variations to simulate scales and hides of various animals easily. That would be highly useful.
haha all my print look similar to that. in all seriousness it might be good for gluing parts together.
Cool, still, jitter effects probably should be done in firmware.
There is a bunch of other great features in the latest Cura beta (2.3), like gradient infill that changes the infill density depending on the distance to a top surface, and a option to z jump only on top surfaces to reduce scaring of top surfaces, also dual extrusion support is in Cura2 now!
Is that a pokemon?
@Cameron_Cook Yep. Gengar
