I'm part of a group that is developing a open source robot for interaction

I’m part of a group that is developing a open source robot for interaction with kids in children’s hospitals. I have just published a 3D articulated miniature of the robot, and anyone can download it.
I hope you like, collect, share, print or tip our design! It will help our project a lot!

Because children in hospitals get too much human contact and they lack robot contact :-/ ? I am just curious so maybe you could explain a bit the reasoning behind it, I am sure some psychologists are involved and they know their stuff I don’t question that just would like to know a bit more about it. Thanks.

+Florian Ford: there are some groups of clown doctor’s here that visit children at hospitals to cheer them up.
The robot will act like a puppet for those clowns. This way they might explore different ways to interact with the kids.
Notice that the robot won’t replace human contact, but create new ways of communication. It’s a kind of toy.
