I'm planning a larger laser build to replace my K40.

I’m planning a larger laser build to replace my K40. Something in the range of 1250mm x 625mm. I have been leaning toward a CoreXY configuration to remove the weight of a stepper motor from the Y axis. It also provides an opportunity to play with a CoreXY machine. (I already have a delta 3d printer and an OX cartesian CNC.)
I thought of a possible problem with running CoreXY. I want to incorporate a rotary axis table for engraving glassware, etc. I have only seen the rotary axis swapped for the Y axis in a cartesian machine.

Would it be possible to add a rotary axis to a CoreXY machine and configure LaserWeb and Smoothieware to do this?

Rotary will be supported via ABC not XYZ. I have Allready tested it via A so no need to swap or change the config of the machine mechanics

Thanks. By the time I get the laser built LW4 will probably be live!

CoreXY on a laser brings up some interesting alignment issues though. With coreXY your gantry squareness is dependent on your belt loading. Be prepared for that in your design.
