I’m proud to presents my new Solder Dispenser System with an auger pump. The results are close to perfect.

Ok, spectacular. Where do I buy that auger pump for €25? I will put my order in right now. I have an air compressor already that I could hook up. The notion that solder paste actually has some air in it makes sense, but I am surprised that this solution was the one that worked. Either way I’m thrilled and want to mimic your results.
@jlauer You are to fast
I want add some text to the video description with the links. Ok,here are the link to my auger pump:
http://www.dosieren.de/en/products/cat/ersatzteile.html [DFS16-A] … but i don’t know if they send to US cuz US patents. May you find a US Seller?
Here the US Store, but you get only 10 pcs https://www.okinternational.com/us-web-store/english/globalnavigation/us-webstore-product-detail?productId=aa2d92c1-2f5e-4186-9fae-8a8c38def254
Well, I just successfully ordered from the http://www.dosieren.de website using my Paypal account. It was €38 since the shipping came out more expensive. So, I’m hoping that this order actually works. So far it looks good.
Fantastic. Question: why not use a metal needle instead of the plastic tip? Wouldn’t that let you get smaller drops?
@Frank_Graffagnino Yes, it’s possible but i read in Internet the plastic conical canullas are the best to dispense drops, cuz you need class 5 (expensive) solder paste with very small partikels to dispense over a metal needle. Here are a good article about this topic: http://dispensetips.com/pages/solder-powder.html
My order from the site in Germany just got rejected. So, yes, I need to buy from that other link but having to buy 10 is a bit out of range. I may have to look for an alternative source.
May you can build this diy? A pipe with a woodscrew … maybe this one: http://www.ellsworthadhesives.co.uk/techcon-disposable-path-insert-16-pitch (but no prices)
Or this ebay auction, $65 for 10 (thats cheap!) http://www.ebay.at/itm/201376579348
10pcs for $90 http://www.ebay.at/itm/281873807425 (but with Pitch 6)
Just bought the pack of 10 on ebay for $65 so all set now. It was the 16 pitch. It would seem the 8 or 6 pitch could give an even better mechanical advantage if you needed it.
Great, right pitch … i guess it’s better with a big pitch then u can control the dispense process better. But … great
frank i’m having a problem all of a sudden with it not drilling pcb holes, have you changed it?
@Brian_Saban hmm i need more information, which workspace u use? Can u send me board file? If the drill feature enables? Lots of questions
Hello Frank…nice find…
Do you think this auger pump can be used to extrude clay. I’d like to turn my home-made CNC machine into a 3d printer of clay. I use tinyG and ChiliPeppr…my bed is about 1200 x 800mm.
I’m assuming the fluid comes in from the side and can be connected to a large volume of soft clay under pressure.
Is this correct?
Clay are a difficult material. The auger pump ate made in plastic. I guess this will destroy the plastic spindle. But you can try, the best way is u made a metal pipe with a normal screw as auger pump.
Did you try to heat the solder paste to 60C before entering the auger pump, I guess will be even more accurate,
I found something really interesting
