I’m taking the parts from my Big Build Volume Herculean kinda printer and reusing them for my next build (I was never happy with my Z-Stage…mostly because my build plate (6mm MIC6) weighed a TON…3-d printed z-stage parts would deform over time due to the weight…so I’m making THAT stationary and building a Kossel XL like thing.
The problem is the effector. The Prusa has spoiled me for mesh bed levelling and I want to make sure the next printer has it too. IR, Microswitch or Inductive, I don’t much care.
What I’m finding is: Effector designs are either simple, and missing major features (like parts cooling), or complex…and don’t fit an e3dv6. I’ve printed two thusfar and I just can’t make 'em work.
Any recommendations for an effector that:
Works with an e3dv6
*has seperate cooling for the hot end and parts
*has some kind of bed levelling
(optional) doesn’t suck up 50 mm of build volume
*you’ve actually tested it and it works as built
I’m not against throwing everything out and building my own whole-cloth, but there’s an inherent R&D load involved in that.

stiff frame mandatory.
