I’m trying Titan @E3D-Online with Nema17 motor 40 mm long with 1.75 filament and goes perfectly, what will be the shortest Nema17 motor that can with 1.75 filament?
Lots of reported success with this: http://www.omc-stepperonline.com/nema-17-bipolar-step-motor-35v-1a-13ncm184ozin-17hs081004s-p-101.html
I’ve used mine with a 70 oz/in Kysan and 48 oz/in Wantai that was a bit smaller. Both were overkill due to the gearing in the extruder. Even with the bigger motors it’s still a couple ounces lighter than a Bondtech and geared motor. With the slimline motor in Tim’s post it looks like a weight and size winner.
I think so Mark, I have DRV8825 drivers that hold a little bit more current
