I’m usually one to suggest the Printrbot Simple Metal, but the latest generation of RoBo3D printers have really been blowing me away with the quality of prints they’ve been doing off the shelf. These examples were the users second print ever.

They’ve really seemed to step up their game and it’s hard to compete with the build volume and quality you get for the price.

What’s everyones opinion on RoBo3D? I don’t hear it talked about much, but with examples like that, surely it’s worth bringing to the table?

Thanks Blackmarkitinnovations for the pictures

Is that R2?
I’ve done lots of upgrades for my Kickstarter/beta R1 and it finally started printing with good quality.
BTW, the new Simple Plus beats RoBo’s build volume by couple inches…

Actually, from the second picture it looks like the inside of R1…

Yup @denix Still on the R1. Won’t hear about the R2 till CES

The Simple Plus seems awesome, but lead time, and it’s more expensive

Robo3d are a great bunch- I like those guys. I think that print is beautiful! Love the color too.

That print looks great! I did a few testprints on a R1 this summer. Nothing close to yours though. =)

@Daniel_Noree the sample filament that comes with it is garbage!

The Printrbot Plus and the Printrbot Simple are two different machines. I haven’t seen a “simple plus.”
Beautiful print. Can’t wait to see all normal prints look that good on all machines!
