I'm working my way through a video tutorial series on the FreeCAD Path (CAM)

I’m working my way through a video tutorial series on the FreeCAD Path (CAM) workbench. Now on part 4. I use a smoothie board to control my laser but would be interested in adding a post processor for laserweb if needed.

Hmm care to explain?

I’m not a LaserWeb user so I might be misunderstanding. If LW has the capability to do control of a machine with gcode generated externally, then a smoother workflow between FreeCAD and LaserWeb might be a good thing. If LW is always starting from 2D geometry and generating its own gcode, then there’s probably not much to do here.

LW can create gcode based on 2D geometry for compatible firmwares or execute a gcode as input from a post processor.

Have you looked into Inkscape and their " gcodetools"?
