I’m working on a 1:1200 scale replica of a Saturn V rocket with the Apollo payload, and I just finished the first stage! I’m making all of this from scratch and basic geometric shapes. I need to model a J-2 engine before I continue on, though so I’ll wait until later.

[Warning: Rant territory ahead]
I don’t really know what I’m going to print this on. I might end up selling it on Shapeways or something. At my dad’s work, they have 3D printers and he even brought one of the cheap ones over here for me to try to get working again. It was a Cube 2nd Generation from Cubify. Basically an abomination of machinery that had multiple factors involving its broken state. The idea of $50 cartridges that need to be replaced every time one is used up just seems so wrong to me. I had a whole spool of filament, but I couldn’t use it because the chip inside it told the printer that it was empty, so the printer didn’t do anything!
