I’m working on getting my cheap chinese GearBest A3 2500mw laser flashed for LaserWeb3 and when I open XLoader to flash it using the correct COMM port it says Can’t Open Port. Any ideas what I can do here? Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is my first time setting anything like this up and I have no idea what to do I’ve searched on Google but to no avail!
+Peter van der Walt I’m so new to this I’m not even sure how to tell. This is a picture of the board. I’ve tried adding USB drivers form the Arduino IDE drivers folder, but it says no driver’s found when I try to update the driver. I’m sorry for my ignorance if there’s something super simple that I’m missing!
So it is a ch340g chip. So if that’s the case, is there a direct replacement I can buy for it that will work with this setup? Or am I pretty much SOL?+Peter van der Walt
+Peter van der Walt my computer won’t let me update the driver for it, or I’m simply not using the correct driver. I was following some instructions on Instructables and it said to use the update the driver with drivers from the Arduino IDE program, and when I have it search for the driver it comes back with nothing found
+Peter van der Walt so im unable to even get it to the point where I can get anything to move at this point and I’m just not sure what to do
+Peter van der Walt Holy shit, I totally missed that comment! THANK YOU!!! Amazing, it’s working now! I really appreciate all of your help!
+Peter van der Walt: The clone Arduinos with the CH340 chips are not as bad as you say. I have lots of them and they usualy work without any problems. Just be sure to use good quality USB cables.
Nah, that’s not a real ripoff as adruino’s are opensource. And the fight between the former arduino partner’s didn’t help for sympathy either.
Arduino itself is a ripoff from a former student of Banzi. (see https://arduinohistory.github.io/)
you NEED the drivers for the CH340
@Jerry_Pierre The link to the drivers was in the 5th post!
