After resoldering the aviation connectors the right way, I got my Y axis motors to move. correctly and in unison.
Things work when you solder them right.

I remember that moment for me. Very satisfying! And since I had never built something like before this it was a little amazing that it actually worked as well as it did! Congrats. 
Amazing. Did you need the quality aluminum profiles to improve their performance?
