BoM:
3D Printing
4x Filament reels
Stepper Motors
2x Nema 17 40mm
3x Nema 17 with 5:1 mechanical reduction
2x Nema 17 34mm
This start of a ‘bit’ vague. (a filament reel can be anything frame the 2.2Kg I use to 500g or 750g or 220meter ones.
They length of the steppers says very little about theirs force.
I guess you can open an issue on github
Good thing the Git wiki links to the hackaday page: https://hackaday.io/project/12989-thor
Looks like a nice project. I think that’s two printable, open-source robotic arms posted here in a week.
@Marcus_Wolschon
Hi! Thanks for the observation, I had forgotten to detail the steppers. Now it’s fixed
2x Nema 17; L=40mm; Holding torque: 39.22 N.cm
3x Nema 17; L=34mm; 5:1 mechanical reduction; Holding torque: 121.2 N.cm
2x Nema 17; L=34mm; Holding torque: 21.57 N.cm
And of course you are right about the reel thing, I’m that get used to print with 1kg filament reels that I didn’t realize about this. Fixed too!
Thanks for the interest
