(In my best Gene Wilder in Young Frankenstein): Alive! It’s ALIVE I tell you! My new PLA only FLSun Delta lives, running in an MKS Mini (because that’s what came with it). Totally painless, but involved build. This baby’s first job will be to print parts to enclose itself, as well as the same for the ScrewDelta.
I got my first delta this past week too.
But cough cough (check the pics):

Awesome printer. I have one as well. https://youtu.be/4yWhqXDXSg8
Yes indeed. Going to play with this before I swap effectors to use an all metal version. I like the z probe switch on this, so if I can find something similar…
And I am debating a metal plate to replace the glass with holes drilled in to mount on the extrusions. Might also raise the bed to add an independently powered and controlled heatbed.
Flsun horribile kit…prefer other china brand
Not my experience…so far.
Here is suggestion from me who start out with Chinese Kossel kit too.
Get some springs or rubber bands to compress each two arms together so it minimize the backlash from those ball joints.
Use some belt tensioner so the belt is tight(simple one like thing:981670 on thingiverse)
Make zprobe switch to be trigger as easy as possible, switch that need a lot of force to trigger will make effector tilted which make autoleveling not accurated.
Make sure the tension on carriage pulleys is good enough to minimize effector tilt.
Print some dampeners for the printer feets might help minimize the noise too, although I guess that won’t stop DRV8825 whining.
Agreed. I have seen the arm thing and the level triggering is difficult with plastic parts that have tight tolerances. For belt tensioning I use those funny springs although I have pretty high tension on them now.
Mine came with an SD card and reader. Cura was on it as well as STLs for all the plastic parts. Let’s start there. Did you find all that? If not I can probably send you mine
+Simon Hakimian download repetier.
Noones sd card works. There is an archive here i think…
