In the uconduit design he places the x and y motor diagnolly from each other. Is this possible with a corexy? Second what do you guys think of placing the z rods diagnally as well as he does?

You CAN position the motors diagonally with CoreXY, but you’ll need an extra idler or two to get enough belt contact on the pulley to avoid skipping. The CoreXY motors are typically placed at the 180 degree belt turn, but those are both on the same side of the gantry. Every other corner has a 90 degree belt turn so you’d need to add idlers to get more pulley-wrap.

Where you put the Z rods doesn’t really matter much. Guidelines:
1 screw: place two rods on either side of screw, perhaps 150mm apart total
2 screws: place 1 rod as close to each screw as possible
3 and more screws: place two rods near two of the screws
