In today’s episode of “Robert really should take the advice of people who know what the F they’re talking about”, I’ve found the cause of my glitching.

It came and went on my little (128 LED) test panel, but when I hooked the strips back on the jacket, the whole thing went nuts. My white dot test pattern was coming out green, the solid green was flickering (green) like mad, as were the noise patterns.

But of course, as @Daniel_Garcia said in this thread (https://plus.google.com/112974620627169436992/posts/Pcc4uHzJpJe), the 74HCT245 is the only level shifter that actually WORKS with FastLED on a Teensy. Once I took the stupid Sparkfun BOB-12009 level shifter out of the equation and hooked the strips’ DIN straight to one of the Teensy’s digital pins, everything is solid as a rock.

Going to bitch and moan about this on the Sparkfun page, BRB.

Yes, I had the same problem with the old level shifter  Glad the replacement worked out well.

Well, there’s no replacement, just going direct off the Teensy’s digital pin.

Ok, then you are lucky  I had the same flickering problems when driving directly from the Teensy pins.
