Initial prototype testing of Crazy Cart leds! I’m using an Arduino Nano and an ADXL345 with an Amazon USB battery pack to control 30 WS2812Bs. Thanks for all the amazing work on FastLED! I think I really need a speed sensor on the front wheel but this works for now. Also planning to add 2 more led strips on the sides.
You are an awesome dad!
Rich, These LEDs are beautiful. I have recently been getting into programming strips like these but I’m pretty bad with syntax and coding in general. Would you mind showing me how you did this?
@Jeff_Murphy I am almost dome with the project and will write it up when completed. I may add a GPS to get better control of the light frame rate with the speed of the cart. Will probably add an oled speedometer while I am at it.
I did borrow some code from @Juergen_Bruegl (thanks!) and adapted for my needs. His code here -> http://pastebin.com/Pydqx6n2
Here’s my current code, still a work in progress! http://pastebin.com/StHX12cA
Thank you so much for sharing! I’m really passionate about lighting, but my lack of knowledge tends to make me dependent on taking pieces of others’ code and stitching or modifying it into what I have. I am interested to see what else you make
That’s cool -
Hmm, I have a few of those ADXL345’s I need to use for something… maybe this will be adapted for the kids Halloween costumes…
