PLA, even without wood, is already replenishable and organic. Plastic does not inherently mean fossil fuel based.
@Howard_C_Shaw_III true. biodegradable plant based polymers are not as long lasting as fossil fuels however they are not so poisonous to us either. for example the effects of pvb as an oestrogen type hormone in humans feminizes both men and women and is a carcinogen. Beware bottled water!
