Nope. That’s as good as it gets with Slic3r

I remember the top/bottom infill being better with the slic3r versions <1.0 so I’ll be trying an older version once my parts get in.

Cura has been getting me better results so far as slicing is concerned, BUT I’m not a fan of the limited manual controls. So, I had been slicing in Cura and printing with Repetier up until my printer broke last week. :-[

Slic3r seems to make really poor support no matter what I try, so your not alone. I usually just use CAD software to make the model easier to print.

You have been using the latest, experimental versions of slic3r, right? They’ve added more support options lately.

Then I suggest trying out some of the new support generation.
