Is Netfabb down?
I’ve been trying to run a few models through it over the past few days and it stalls at the “Repair” phase and never completes. Tried various models, even very simple ones, no joy. Anyone else had success?

@Mark_Rehorst actually, I use Autodesk 123D mostly, sometimes Blender. I do plan to look at Fusion 360 though, as a lot of people seem to use it.

@Jon_Gritton first of give fusion 360 a try, it is free for makers. Second mesh mixer has a really nice repair feature, and it works locally

@Camerin_hahn Fusion 360 is (at the time of writing) refusing to load or finish installing, repeatedly failing with a “server error”, so unimpressive so far. I have MeshMixer but find it clumsy to use and fixing models requires time. I liked Netfabb because it was a “set and go” process; I could set a file to upload, get on with other work and come back to simply download the fixed model.

@Jon_Gritton ​​ mesh mixer has other benefits like print orentation ( you would think it is drunk, but it works well), and support structure that is really easy to remove.

Net fab just does repair.

Fusion 360 didn’t have those issues for me. I don’t know what is up. It is cloud based…
