Is SkeinForge still beeing maintained or is it a dead piece of software?

Is SkeinForge still beeing maintained or is it a dead piece of software? I’ve found a bug in the stretch module. The inner perimeter is not stretching at all.

I think it is pretty dead but ReplicatorG uses it for slicing still (makerbot) unless you switch to Makerware. What is the bug?

I’d like to print a cylinder with 13 mm inside diameter but it comes out as 12,7mm. Scaling is pretty much good, so I would think that the stretch parameters could do the trick. However, the “Perimeter Inside Stretch Over Perimeter Width (ratio)” does not do anything.

When browsing the gCode with comments, it seems that the inner perimeter is labeled and not ( inner ) as I expected it to be.

If it is depreciated, what are most people using? Is there a de facto standard for RepRaps? (I’m using a Prusa i3)

I get really good results with KISSlicer. It has a nice interface and is really fast as well.

Slic3r, Cura and Kisslicer are pretty much the choices that I see RepRaps use. I was a Slic3r person myself.

From @nop_head last blog post it looks as though he still uses skein forge.

Yes I still use it. I haven’t tried stretch though. I use Polyholes when I want circles the right size.

I used SkeinForge at first as you recommended it in your kit instructions @nop_head , I can’t fault its output but I gave up in the end as I kept finding STL files on Thingiverse it just wouldn’t slice. Also it was really really slow and the interface looked like someone had fired widgets at it with a shot gun
