Is there a brick and mortar store that often has 3D printing filament in stock? Like Home Depot or somewhere like that?
I’ve seen filament at a few locations like Fry’s Electronics, Microcenter, and even at the local electronics shop. So they’re starting to show up, but from what I saw the price points were typically higher than what it would cost to have the material shipped as well as colors were limited.
Fry’s electronics now carries some filament.
The Conrad stores not have filament.
I noticed that a new Radio Shack had filament and some brand 3d printer. Haven’t seen it in the older stores though
I second what Tim said. I have seen it at both Microcenter and Fry’s. Assuming you have one nearby. You could try Staples or Office Depot. My last trip there they were setting up 3d printing kiosks.
Home depot is supposed to be carrying it “in select locations” but the prices are very high
The stuff from Fry’s was $25/kg and the PLA prints reasonably well. Haven’t tried the ABS yet but it’s the same price.
(You do realize that he hasn’t mentioned what country or even continent he’s looking for?)
We have over 70 SKUs of filament in stock, with PLA, ABS, Taulman 618, 645 and Bridge Nylon, PET (T-Glase), Laywoo-D3, Laybrick, HIPS and Ninjaflex.
I read that people who bought the filament from Fry’s had issues printing (the ABS filament). I found that with FlashForge Pro printer that filament need to be printer around 240 C and bed temperature around 115
