Genuine GT2 belt for $3.69 per foot or $12.10 per meter. eBay parts are almost always cheap Chinese knockoffs and not genuine. Motion Industries is a licensed retailer for Gates. I’m getting belting for my current WIP design from them.

Try http://royalsupply.com they also sell genuine Gates products. FYI if you go to the Gates website you can find a supplier near you. Pays to do a bit of research.

@Panayiotis_Savva you live in Greece? You can try call the koumakis is in Thessaloniki and is supplier of Gates belts… he buy from us ( I work in Gates in Germany) but the problem is that we don’t produce gt2 belts any more here. All Gates gt2 belts you see in European suppliers came from US and I think also from the Korean factory… for this the price is so high

Don’t buy belts from eBay or Ali. Just don’t. They’re always knock-offs. Might be a good knock-off or a bad knock-off but it’ll almost never be genuine.

@Rene_Jurack where are you getting GT3 that long? I contacted gates and they said longest they stock is 1164 mm.

@Adam_Steinmark 2,83m is max length for GT3-2M 6mm. Don’t forget guys, genuine GT2 is still a REALLY good belt. Genuine GT3 is only about 10% stiffer. And the performance difference between “very stiff” and “very stiff +10%” is not going to be very significant. So you can pick any reputable local Gates distributor.
