Is this the seed that leads to the replicator in Star Trek?

It most definitely is.
Now to configure it to also break down all our garbage, waste and unwanted items back into molecules or atoms so that this material can feed the entire system of neighborhood/household molecular printers…and reducing waste completely.
Any/all unwanted material would be reduced to molecules to then print anything.
This would also collapse the paradigm of scarcity…as… being able to print anything from material that is entirely renewable will obliterate pricing completely.
These devices will change everything.
Not to mention a pharmacy in your home, which can produce whatever drug you may fancy
and novel ones too. Science Fiction book I read recently had black market firmwares for the home-pharm machines…
Tea, Earl Grey, Hot
@Michael_AtOz Drugs, foods, materials, clothing, books, anything.
It would be important to think of this thing as a garbage disposal. What you put into it…gets scanned…for future replication…and then it’s deconstructed down to the atomic level.
Those atoms are then made available to the entire system of replicators…as material to use to create anything else.
You could literally shit into the machine and then ask it for a cheeseburger and enjoy.
@Michael_AtOz I can see someone trying to regulate allowed firmware. Interesting concept.
Love this, Thanks !
