is your E3D Jammed? I took it apart, and unscrewed the heatsink. I ran a hot 40w soldering iron along the threads for a couple of minutes and then I was able to easily pluck the jammed filament out easily.
Kept getting jams using the E3Dv6. Added some thermal paste to the threads so they made better contact with the heatsink to which solved it. Haven’t had any issues since.
They way i solved my jams was by removing the heatsink and heating up the hotend. Waited a few minutes and it’s usualy be able to pull out the filament.
I’ve not had the E3D itself jam but I’ve had a couple of nozzle jams using exotic filaments like metals. What I do is unscrew the nozzle and burn it out with a blow torch then bang the dust on the desk and its fine again.
Be careful with a soldering iron on threads. It won’t conduct heat well without some solder on the tip to add to the (otherwise almost non-existent) contact area, but if you use solder to conduct heat to threads, it will flow onto them and will never come off completely. With solder on the threads, they will no longer fit the mating thread.
