It has been a while since I’ve posted here so I thought I’d share my latest printing project. I downloaded thingiverse model 505758, cleaned up the head, and printed it. Here are some progress shots. It is painted but I still need to weather it. The entire battle droid is 3d printed in ABS. Printed on two modified printers. One used to be a Solidoodle 3, the other is a variation of the Taz 4. Total print time was about 200 hours and consumed around 5-6 spools.
Looks great! Did you use filler, then sand to get that surface finish?

@John-Paul_Hopman I think so. I have seen a picture of it in his car, and it fits really well. Maybe add a mask just in case.
Battle droid looks great. Did get excited thinking it was R2D2 though.
And here I am whining about a 4 hour print.

@Ritchie_Wilson , I made the R2 as well but only the details are 3d printed. Which is actually a lot. Lol. 145 pieces to be exact. Lol
