It worked!

I was playing around with Mark’s older Noise + Palette Example and then started adding in his new Palette Blending code. Had a few issues with the palettes I created on-the-fly being too large, but was able to condense them with Mark’s help. It also cut the compiled filesize in half, and works perfectly on the Uno R3 – miniscule SRAM and all

There’s some nice palette blends in there, which only look cooler now that there’s a cross-fade between each one. Currently, it’s 19 different palettes that repeat every hour. I may eventually fill up all 60 periods of the timer with different blends to create a nice flow. Enjoy!

Here’s the hardware I applied it to. This is a demo that does not have the blending code added yet. I don’t have time to make a new video with the new code, but I’m sure you can already understand how much better it looks now!

Ps. I’m still new at this, so if you find some better ways to condense the code even more, I’d love to learn!

Here is an extremely free course in some techniques on cleaner coding: https://plus.google.com/105445034001275025240/posts/Q1nZ2T7NXS5

Awesome! Thanks!

Looks great! Congratulations on making it all fit – always a challenge.

I have a similar lamp that I picked up from IKEA called ‘Holmo Floor Lamp’. It was about $10 CDN and I’ve currently got the FirePalette2012 running on 30 LED’s inside it.

Smooth. Looks very nice.
