Using some cheap plastic tubs from home Depot for now for the electronics, but plan on redoing wiring and electronics later.

Always great to see another R7 making first cuts. Building a CNC, and learning to generate milling gcode is no small task. Congratulations… And welcome to the club

Do you worry about heat buildup of the PSU pumping heat into the same enclosure as the board with no ventilation?
Or are you leaving the lid off?
I leave the lid off for now and will switch to a proper ventilated box in the future
