It’s alive!!
@Brigham_Valdez , IIRC they did. And it turned out to be a pain in the ass. I’ve never seen a Printrbot be so much of a problem, but it happened.
Very nice! How much was this unit?
@Brigham_Valdez
Hey! Yes like @ThantiK mentioned, I ended up sending it back and paying a $300 restocking fee, for their defective @printerbot One of the shadiest companies I’ve ever dealt with… It took me a little while to figure out why they did what they did… they can’t afford to pay a guy to offer proper tech support, so instead of trying to fix the issue, they rather the customer initiate a return, and then charge him a 20% restocking fee… lol SHADY!!
@Wing_Wong
Hello! I think is was $2500 with 4 rolls of filament and extra nuzzles.
@javierymirna , your Printrbot may have been defective but Printrbot is most definitely not a shady company or lacking the ability to provide tech support. They do warranty their printers as far as I’m aware, and I’m sure they would have been able to swap out the printer for you.
I understand being upset about the ordeal, but making claims such as that in a place where a lot of people know to the contrary only serves to tarnish your claims.
@ThantiK It’s my own personal opinion… they never reached out and offer a replacement… their tech support wanted me to take the thing apart hours taking it out of the box… like @Brigham_Valdez , need to back up ur product and stand behind it… I’ve had better luck with some chinase companies.
@Brook_Drumm1 , care to look into this? I have a hard time believing such a bad experience, given the absolutely downright generous customer service I’ve seen from you in the past just in my personal circles (many friends have bought printrbots based on my recommendation, and any time anything went wrong, they’ve never had so much as a hiccup getting things sorted out through printrbot)
@ThantiK
Brook never reach out to me to try to solve this issue… he was too busy doing the tv show, think…
i dunno. Any ways, I lost some cash on the printrbot deal, I just feel is my obligation as a former customer of them, to warn people about checking and double checking before buying from them… Done deal, I have my Ultimaker 2 and it printed right out of the box!
He is a very busy man, and rightfully so. He shouldn’t need to personally touch on stuff such as this, he has the staff that should be able to accommodate for situations such as this. Just trying to set things straight. You have every right to be miffed over the ordeal, certainly. I don’t really have any relationship with Printrbot other than my secondhand experience with them, I’m not even directly a customer. But I have an immense respect for them due to what I’ve seen in the past.
Especially given that this community was the one who recommended you go with Printrbot to begin with. I want to at least make sure our bearings are correctly pointed.
@ThantiK
yep! u guys did… but hey, I learned from it… This community is awesome!! I’d received more help from guys here then from printrbot it self…
