It’s crazy to think how far this technology has come in the last couple years. The green whistle on the left was printed on an original Prusa Mendel- like printer in I believe 2010 (don’t quote me on the year but around there). The one on the right was just printed on my Smartrap tonight. The camera doesn’t depict the resolution quality super well but the print quality from back then to today is absolutely incredible.

The green whistle was printed by a Georgia tech college student who was showing the technology and its abilities. At the time I never thought that I would be able to own much less build my own 3d printer. The technology has become better and cheaper and I hope that it keeps progressing at the great rate that it is!!

Comparing the 1st, 3rd, 5th pics, the newer print (yellow) shows more stringing inside.

@Ivan_Hoe that’s because the green one was cleaned up years back. I thought it would create a better whistle sound which was somewhat true. The yellow was just pulled straight from the blue painters tape.
