It’s highly rare these days I print straight PLA, it’s 99% PET with a small amount of the *fills. However, when you get results like this with only tweaking the temperature and cooling, it makes me think I should invest in a few more spools. Formfutura Easyfil PLA in Silver at 0.2mm layer, 80mm/s base speed.

I am slowly transitioning to more PETG but PLA is just so easy. Can’t complain unless it’s subjected to heat.

@Griffin_Paquette - aye, most of my stuff needs a bit of heat resistance (18650/26650 Battery Sleds, Vape Box Mod enclosures) hence the PETG, but PET and Co-polymers can bit a bitch to get right and don’t come too cheap, sometimes up to £40 a spool if I’m using ColorFabb XT, but when it comes to just wanting to experiment with no hassle, PLA comes into it’s own.

I’m spoiled here in the US. $18.99 for a KG of PETG. I need to get more of it considering the price. Just too many projects and not enough time…

@Griffin_Paquette Microcenter!

Yikes, the cheapest I get a good PETG for (Formfutura HDGlass) is about £23 for 750g…
