#mrrf2017 - it’s too bad more people aren’t here!

I want 3d printer. How much they are?

Sad I couldn’t make it up this year! Hope to grab a booth for next years!

@Adrian_Montgomery $100 to $200 for starter printer. More for more complete or larger, better, etc…

@Scott_Lewis okey thank

Just bad timing again this year. Sad day

Dude, stop by our booth tomorrow, I’m hanging out by the Beagleboard people. We are converting a lulzbot.

@Elias_Bakken , will do! I should really update my profile picture – if you see a short overweight dude with a scruffy face, ponytail, and flipflops it’s probably me. (You can take the man out of Florida, but you can’t take Florida out of the man.) – I actually paid close attention while there. You could probably find me just from watching for a set of flip-flops. haha

@ThantiK cool, @Drew_Fustini_pdp7 says hello!

I saw @Drew_Fustini_pdp7 walkin’ around – but it was near the end of the night and I was hurting pretty badly – this trip has reinvigorated my need to get that ingentis (likely now going to be a herculien) finished. – I’m still really bummed that +Peter van der Walt couldn’t make it! :frowning:

We know if anyone else from the #Laserweb group made it up?

What is that shiny golden Material? Looks great.

Hi @ThantiK I saw from @Joe_Mike_Terranella 's video, the continous printing, Lulzbot mod magnetic tool head and their mod on Taz is very impressive. Is that true they can print continous without interrupt?

Would have loved to be there, but being UK based and very little free time puts a kibosh on me gallivanting half way across the globe. Also E3D Volcano sock +++

E3D Volcano sock — that’s what we are waiting for after V6 Sock :slight_smile: … will help the temp stability and increase the speed too because less of filament jam (hopefully) … too bad can’t not attend MRRF :frowning: and same with @Ax_Smith-Laffin … we are living on a different side of the earth :slight_smile:

@Carsten_Wartmann - bronze. Someone there has printing metal clay figured out – those are the result after firing the clay.

That’s awesome! The printed engine was cool.

Hi @ThantiK could you may find out the name or contact info from the bronze clay folks. That would be cool, as we test lots of this in our jewellery school in Trinidad & Tobago.

I’m going to try to go next year for the first time, I just didn’t have the ability to go this year. This time, I’m actually going to set the money aside beforehand. I wish I could do that with time too

I was there yesterday, for the first time. So many cool things to see. What a strange experience to recognize people I’ve only ever seen on video. The most unexpected was when I recognized @Barnacules_Nerdgasm by voice before I turned and saw him. I didn’t talk to many people I think of as celebrities, since I always assume everyone is as introverted as me. I was a bit shocked when Sanjay recognized the name on my badge. Well, he said it was familiar. I doubt I’ve ever done anything that would lodge myself in his memory, other than standing next to my brother, who was giving him a light ribbing for halting BigBox production before giving the Titan Aero a good look.

I wish I would have recognized someone from this group. I would have at least said hi. I did see some sandals go by while I was looking at something on the floor, but I didn’t know to pay attention.

Oh yes, the bronze print. That was very cool, but it’s not fully figured out yet. Since they don’t have a valve for the CO2 yet, they can’t stop the flow. Lets see here, that was one of the places I saved in a browser tab on my phone: http://cooltools.us. Look for the 3D Metal Creator
