I’ve acquired some old school LED tubes that I know very little about other then they work, with the included controller unit that I got with them. They are 4 wire, so clock and data and the only english written on the controller box leads me to believe that they are either - LPD6803 or D705, I know that LPD6803 isn’t really supported, but what about D705? Also if they are LPD6803 (thats my hunch) would it be possible to work support back into the newer version of FastLED or is it just too old?
I think the d705 is a lpd6803 clone. I yanked out support for the lpd6803 because I didn’t want to maintain anything that required timers across multiple platforms. You can get an old (unsupported version of the library here - http://fastled.io/attic/FastSPI_LED.zip
Yeah, I will try that, tho my goal was to be able to use these tubes with the ESP2866 exclusively as I came into possession of a “boatload” of them
