I’ve been gathering parts to build the SO2 with nema 23 for the past year. Mostly from inventables. At the time they did not have the GT2 pulley and i’m ready to order that. I understand that 20T is the recommended, but isn’t 16T compatible and prefered over 20?
I already have the idlers and belt.
Fewer teeth pulley will deliver more more force, just be aware configuration value steps/inch will change from those of 20T. Drawback is fewer teeth will be engaged with 16T.
The other issue is pulley availability. If you’re looking for a 16 tooth GT2 pulley for a 1/4" motor shaft that’s typically found on NEMA23’s, they will probably be hard to find. Check SDP/SI. 20 tooth GT2 with 1/4" shaft bore are all over the place, even inventables.
Yeah I was running dry on my searches. I ordered the 20T for now. I figured I can always swap later
