Ive been trying to complete my auto z axis calibration using a limit switch and servo. My servo, a hitec hs81 will only spin one direction using the M280 command, even when the servo reaches its limit it’ll still click for about a second. For some reason hooking the servo power to the ramps short circuits the ramps and shuts it down, so I have the servo on a separate 5.5 v (instead of 4.4 from the printer). In Marlin I have everything but the servo working and uncommented the three lines in configuration.h, set pin 11 in pins.h, and even configured the pulse limits in servo.h. I’m not sure if its a bad servo or Marlin settings, please help
You can get a cheap servo tester to know for sure, but I suspect stripped gears…
