I’ve finally documented some of my work so far with the ShapeOKO Version 1 to Version 2 conversion. Check it out but forgive the lack of links, full BOM and whatnot, it is an ever-evolving process right now.

Wow! Excellent work, thanks for posting.

I hadn’t thought of using my v1 Y Makerslides for a new double X gantry. I was thinking of buying just one updated motor plate, and using it as a guide - but I’d go crazy and drill all the holes.
Would you elaborate on the 375mm x 500mm giving you less work area… I need about 10" x12" x1.5" for a project.

Sorry for the late reply. It turns out that the old belt-holding mechanisms take away about 1.5-2" on either side of my Y axis since they are so long and I’ve had to double them over and zip tie them to themselves to get them to stay stationary. The V wheels hit the zip ties way before hitting the end of the Makerslide. As soon as it is operational, I’ll mill some small belt clips from PCB material and that should give me more travel.

Anyone have tips on how to fix the wobble in my z axis? AS I turn the Z, the tip of my drill moves in a circle with a diameter of about 1mm. The rod looks straight though, and I’got the whole drill plate tight on the makerslide.
