I’ve got an 18 hour bus ride coming up in a couple weeks so I designed and made a little box to hold a lead acid battery that is connected to a car charger port. Should charge a phone around 20 times in all. If only abs could stop splitting… Time for some higher quality filament
id recommend an agm and not lead acid. its more but it will work better and be lighter. good job though.
It’s enclosed and at 46c average. This time it is just filament quality. Was able to watch it split during the time lapse
I did print pretty fast. Didn’t have time to wait. It was still a 13 hour print though
I’m liking PETG as my go to filament now
true but its absorbed into the mats. also has less issues with venting hydrogen. best of all the capacity to weight is higher.
+nathan walkner those terminals are used on both standard floaded cell lead acid and agm batteries. i was just pointing out that if you are going to use a battery use at least an agm type battery. and in all honesty id spend the extra money on a lithium battery. again higher capacity density to weight.
I used this lead acid because it is what I had… Didn’t have to buy anything except the 12v port
