Just completed my Formula One test run today. It has been an exciting couple of weeks printing and solving how to print NinjaFlex on my Prusa I3 with an MK7 extruder.
Thank you Daniel Daniel Norée for sharing the design.

I scanned a bust of myself with Skanect software and found a helmet with face mask on thingiverse website. I combined the two in Simplify3D and scaled it to fit the cockpit area of the F1.
I painted the driver with Testors paint. The face mask was printed in clear PLA and is removable.
The Pirelli Logo on NinjaFlex tires were created on a Silhouette vinyl cutter. That was a tedious job removing the scrap and applying the logo to the tire. I painted a light coat of Minwax Polycrylic to seal and protect the logo.
The mirrors were enhanced with the help of a CD ROM which I cut and sanded with a Dremel tool.
I created a short video of my maiden test run. You can watch it here…
